Edit: After getting a response from Aesthetic Noir, I’m tweaking my review a bit. They mentioned they get their items from various retailers, including some Asian ones. Honestly, I thought they were creating their own designs and just collaborating with production companies. I guess I misunderstood; they do see themselves as resellers. Still, I find their pricing and those so-called 'discounts' pretty odd. It’s strange that other sellers like YesStyle and sites like Marigold Shadows (which I also find a bit off) offer the exact same items. I’m bumping this review up to 2 stars but keeping it here. I think it’s crucial for folks to see this and form their own views. I still feel a bit cheated, but maybe that’s just my high standards and different take on what a small business should be. On the bright side, their website is nice to browse, and the clothing selection is quite appealing. I would’ve appreciated it more if they had been upfront about the Chinese brands they collaborate with. That would’ve saved me from thinking it was all 'original Aesthetic Noir.' Plus, if they want to be seen as 'ethical' and 'sustainable,' it would be beneficial to disclose their partners. Otherwise, it just feels like empty talk.

I haven’t received my items yet, so this is just a temporary review. As another reviewer pointed out, everything is sourced from China. You can snag most of the clothes for less on YesStyle under the brand SIMPLE BLACK (cheaper than the 'discounted' prices on Aesthetic Noir, lol).

Aesthetic Noir is essentially reselling a Chinese brand, and their 'About Us' section feels misleading. If you want the items, just go to YesStyle for a better deal. Shipping takes ages on both sites, so it’s all the same, haha. At least YesStyle doesn’t pretend it’s 'their' design. Sure, it’s still from China (most stuff is these days), but they’re upfront about being a platform for selling.

- Only Chinese models > it’s originally from a Chinese brand
- Sizing runs smaller > it’s a Chinese brand
- Wild discounts on every item > it’s not even close to the actual Chinese prices, and those 'discounts' make returns impossible (how convenient)
- Partial shipping from China > it’s a Chinese brand

Anyway, I’m kicking myself for only realizing this after placing my order. I’m not losing a ton of cash, but it’s still a bummer. I was really looking forward to this. At least the quality seems decent based on other reviews, so I’m hoping I’ll still like the items. These resellers are a real nuisance; maybe I should just learn to sew and make my own clothes.

If it turns out my assumptions are off or there’s a reasonable explanation, I’ll definitely update this review.

The craftsmanship and fabric quality are impressive. I was really taken aback. I placed my order for the dress and jacket on December 30, 2021, and they showed up today, January 28, 2022. Totally worth the wait! The v-neck dress and kimono-style jacket are labeled as one-size, and let me tell ya, they really fit! I'm a US size 14, and I can't believe how flattering, comfy, and well-constructed both items are. Definitely worth the price and the wait! Big thanks to Aesthetic Noir for acknowledging and celebrating women's figures by creating such lovely clothing.

The quality of clothing from Aesthetic Noir is top-notch, and I'm really into the pieces I got. I've even placed another order! It did take a while for my packages to get here from Hong Kong to the States due to COVID, but I was totally cool with the wait.

I rate the clothing five stars (it matched the website perfectly; really well crafted; quality materials) but the delivery gets just one star. It took ages. Plus, I got no reply when I reached out to ask about it. Naturally, it shipped straight from China, which suggests that wherever Aestheticnoir claims to be based, they’re far from where the items are made, packed, and sent out. This setup doesn’t lend itself to good customer service for sorting out issues. And if there’s a problem with any product, this system makes returns and refunds a hassle. In short: I adored the clothes but won’t be ordering again. I steer clear of the direct-from-China route unless I’m familiar with the brand (like, for instance, Asos). Otherwise, it’s a total gamble.

The clothing I received was of low quality, and when I tried to get my money back, they just ignored me. I reached out several times, but no one ever got back to me.

This is my third time placing an order. The fabrics are really nice and they arrived right on schedule. I'd suggest this for anyone hunting for affordable, dark clothing in that Zara vibe.
